GEST | Luxury Service Call System

GEST is a wireless, touch-glass service call system designed for superyachts and high-end properties. It requires only a Wi-Fi connection, no base stations, no proprietary wiring, no additional server hardware beyond the optional local GEST server for offline environments.

The system integrates natively with Crestron and is compatible with any API-based control environment. For integrators specifying across a vessel’s full AV/IT architecture, GEST fits cleanly into the existing control layer without requiring custom middleware or bespoke configuration.

Technical specifications

ManufacturedNetherlands. 12,000+ hours of engineering and validation.

Integration architecture

GEST operates within the vessel’s Wi-Fi network. The GEST Portal Manager provides a browser-based administration interface accessible from any on-network device, no dedicated hardware terminal required. For vessels with Crestron infrastructure, the GEST Crestron module provides bidirectional control: GEST events can trigger Crestron scenes, and Crestron inputs can generate GEST service calls.

For non-Crestron environments, the GEST REST API exposes all core functions, button events, crew responses, room assignments, and status updates, enabling integration with any third-party control or notification system.

OMNIYON – Media & Comfort Control System

OMNIYON is YachtCloud’s AV and comfort control system, designed to replace legacy media and environmental control technology onboard superyachts. It consolidates media distribution, entertainment control, and comfort system management into a single interface — reducing system complexity and the number of independent control layers an integrator needs to manage.

OMNIYON is designed as a replacement for, or complement to, existing AV distribution architectures. It supports integration with third-party hardware across lighting, climate, and media systems, and its interface is designed to be operator-configurable without requiring specialist programming resources for routine changes.

Technical Specifications

ParameterDetail
Control interfaceTouch panel, tablet, AVA remote and mobile app. Configurable per zone and per user profile.
Media distributionMulti-zone AV distribution. Supports mixing of proprietary content and broadcast sources.
IntegrationCompatible with existing AV infrastructure. API available for third-party system integration.
ContentPersonal media library integration alongside live TV, streaming, and broadcast sources.
User profilesOwner, guest, and crew profiles with configurable access levels per zone.
InstallationRack-mount server unit. Network-based distribution, no proprietary cabling architecture.

The primary differentiators for OMNIYON are: operator-configurable interface without specialist programming, mixed content model combining personal media with broadcast sources, and a unified control layer that connects to GEST within the YachtCloud ecosystem. Integration with the full YachtCloud suite is a consideration that applies at the vessel specification stage.

ECHO – Network & Device Management

ECHO is YachtCloud’s network and device management platform, purpose-built for the performance, security, and connectivity demands of superyacht environments. It provides integrators with a centralised platform for network configuration, device visibility, access management, and connectivity monitoring — without the overhead of enterprise-tier infrastructure.

For vessels with complex AV/IT architectures — multiple zones, guest and crew network separation, IoT device layers, and satellite connectivity — ECHO provides the management layer that keeps all of it visible and controllable from a single interface.

Technical specifications

ParameterDetail
Network managementCentralised configuration, monitoring, and device management across all onboard network zones.
Access controlRole-based network access. Separate SSID management for guest, crew, and systems networks.
Device visibilityFull inventory of connected devices with status monitoring and alert thresholds.
ConnectivitySupports satellite, cellular, and marina Wi-Fi upstream connections with automatic failover.
SecurityTraffic segmentation, access logging, and configurable firewall rules.
InterfaceBrowser-based administration, hosted on a virtual server. No dedicated hardware terminal required.
IntegrationAPI available. Compatible with standard network monitoring and management tooling.
DeploymentRack-mount hardware. Scales to vessel size from 30m to 100m+ without architecture changes.

ECHO addresses a clear gap: the majority of superyachts in the 30–80m range do not require full enterprise network management and benefit from a purpose-built platform that is easier to deploy, configure, and support in a marine environment. For integrators, ECHO also eliminates the licensing model complexity.

CrewBoard, YIS & LaundryBoard – supporting products

Three additional YachtCloud products are relevant to system integrators at the specification stage, primarily as part of a full-suite deployment or when advising on vessel technology architecture.

CrewBoard

Crew & Visitor Tracking

CrewBoard is a digital personnel and visitor management application. It operates online and offline, replacing manual sign-in boards and paper crew lists. For integrators, CrewBoard requires no hardware integration — it is a software layer that runs on existing tablet or device infrastructure already specified for the vessel.

YIS

Yacht Information System

YIS is a superyacht infotainment system available as a TV channel and tablet/mobile application. Integration requirements include a connection to the vessel’s NMEA data feed for real-time navigation data, and routing to the vessel’s AV distribution system for TV channel output. YIS is positioned as a complement to OMNIYON rather than a replacement for AV infrastructure.

LaundryBoard

Laundry Management

LaundryBoard is a web-based laundry and housekeeping management application. No hardware integration is required. It runs on existing tablet or desktop infrastructure. Relevant to the specification process only in the context of advising the interior team on device and network requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does GEST support Crestron integration?

Yes. GEST has a native Crestron driver that provides integration. Full Crestron integration documentation is available to dealers and integrators on request.

Does GEST have an open API?

Yes. GEST exposes a REST API covering all core functions: button events, crew responses, room assignments, and status updates. This enables integration with any third-party control system, notification platform, or vessel management software. API documentation is available to registered dealers and integrators.

How does ECHO differ from Cisco Meraki for superyacht deployments?

ECHO is purpose-built for superyacht environments, whereas Cisco Meraki is an enterprise-grade platform originally designed for corporate IT infrastructure. For superyachts in the 30–80m range, ECHO provides centralised network management, device visibility, role-based access control, and connectivity monitoring without the licensing complexity or infrastructure overhead associated with enterprise platforms.

Is there geographic exclusivity in the YachtCloud Dealer Programme?

No. The YachtCloud Dealer Programme is open globally with no geographic exclusivity or restrictions. Multiple dealers can operate in the same market. The programme is designed to support integrators who are committed to quality installation and client support, regardless of location.

What training is provided for dealers?

YachtCloud provides full product training for all dealers, covering installation, system configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for every product in the suite. Training is available in person at YachtCloud’s facility in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and remotely. Technical documentation, installation manuals, and integration guides are available upon request.

How does GEST handle environments without a reliable internet connection?

GEST can be deployed with a local server (GEST Local Server) for vessels or properties where internet connectivity is limited or unreliable. In this configuration, all GEST functionality operates entirely on the local network, no cloud dependency. The GEST Cloud option is available for environments with stable internet connectivity and provides remote monitoring and management capabilities.
