A superyacht’s network carries far more traffic than most people realise. Guests stream films to their cabin, crew connect phones and laptops, and an owner’s family may bring a dozen devices onboard for a single charter. Without proper network access management, that shared network quickly becomes noisy and, more importantly, exposed.
What network access management actually means
On a yacht, network access management is the practice of controlling which devices can join the network and what they are allowed to see once connected. It is not the same problem as managing Wi Fi at home or in an office.
